David Cottin was born on April 2, 1990 in Angers. Son of coach Philippe Cottin, he continued his studies and took his first steps in the race as a gentleman.In 2008, he won his first Group I at the age of 18 with Long Run at the Prix Cambacérès. The same year, he becomes a professional jockey. David Cottin triumphs in 2010 and 2011 in the Prix The Hague Jousselin with Rubi Ball.

He also wins the Grand Prix d’Auteuil Hurdles two times with Gémix in 2013 and 2014. He is crowned Golden Whip in 2009, 2010 and 2012. He ended his career at the age of 27 on June 11, 2017.

David COTTIN knows Louis BAUDRON since his youngest age, he was already at the time pony races! He was a professional jockey at Louis.
